The number of visits to Online Library Guides hit a record in Term 1, 2021 with Career Planning and Advice Guide as the most visited guide.
More than 9,000 visits were recorded for Library Guides in March and April 2021 since Term 1 began. The number was a 50 per cent jump from around 6,000 during the same period last year.

Career Planning and Advice Guide, resources to support job applications, including resume and application letter writing and preparing for interviews, was the most sought after, logging in more than 4,000 visits during March and April. Users are keen to explore their career options, paths and job preparations. Right decisions would lead to the right paths that yield a meaningful career with purpose, satisfaction and fulfilment.

Legal Method, Research and Writing Guide, which assists with quality legal research and writing, was dethroned to the No.2 most visited guide from the No. 1 spot last year. This guide has always been in demand, but career planning has now taken centre stage.
Legal Method, Research and Writing Guide recorded more than 2,500 visits in March and April.
Other highly visited guides are Academic English Skills, resources to Assist with Improving Academic English and Study Skills; Academic Research & Writing, resources for Academic Research and Writing Tips; and Referencing & Organisational Software, a Guide for Using Various Referencing and Citation Software.

Library Guides are a one stop shop to student learning resources needs. These subject-focused webpages allow users to find subject-relevant databases, website links, e-journals, eBooks, professional affiliations, dictionaries, encyclopaedia and other useful resources in one location.
Users can access the Library Guides via the IMC Library website. Other resources accessible via the website include electronic databases, e-books, videos, case studies, online workshops, blogs, open access resources, a suite of search tools, collections, repositories, images and datasets, and much more.

The robust use of online library resources such as Library Guides is a great start for the year.
