Dear student,
It’s week 5 and we hope you have enjoyed your study at TOP so far.
At TOP, we encourage students to get involved and we welcome students to be a part of the Institution’s decisions making process.
That’s why we need student representatives.
Why should I become a student representative?
Becoming a student representative enables students to develop and enhance their leadership skills, connect with various internal and external Committees and assist fellow students to voice their own views and interests.
Being a Student Representative will allow you to:
- Contribute to decision making at TOP
- Strengthen your skills, especially in terms of communication, team work, and leadership
- Support student groups, especially sup-groups
- Have your voice heard
- Act as a bridge between students and TOP. Bringing any suggestions, feedback and/or issues to relevant committees and/or governance bodies
- Suggest, improve and utilise implements related to enhance student experience
How do I get involved?
You can nominate yourself or your classmates to be a representative of the following governance bodies and Committees:
- Council of Top Education Institute
- Academic Board of Top Education Institute
- Teaching and Learning Committee
- Student Experience Committee
You can get more information in terms of TOP’s governance bodies and Committees and submit your application at the Student Services Office located at Level 1 Bay 16.
Student representatives will be appointed for a period of seven months (two semesters), with an option for a longer extension.
