The good news is, you are nearly there, finishing the course and getting one step closer to completing the degree that you have always wanted. The big news is (and this is what is occupying your mind), Term Paper will soon be due.

Many of you have been in touch to inquire on how to write that term paper. The term paper carries a lot of marks. It requires a lot of research and planning. You want to write it well to get good marks but you are not sure how to begin.
Not to worry. The Library has lots of resources to assist you.

Step 1: check out Online databases for assignments.
This library blog lists major databases that you can access for your research. Your criteria: variety of materials, authoritative, current, relevant, prestigious, scholarly, peer-reviewed. The library databases have online journals, articles, extracts, online lectures, videos, case studies that you can use.
Step 2: Planning your
paper
Check out Academic Research & Writing. This page guides you on how to plan and outline your paper. It discusses various elements of essay and report writing, what to and what not to include, and the dos and don’t of academic writing. This page is packed with useful resources and information that you don’t want to miss.
Step 3: Organizing and analyzing your research
Organising information that you find is the leg work of academic writing and will define the structure and substance of your research paper. Analysing research discusses critical writing and analytical thinking, both of which are essential in fleshing out the materials you have to complete your paper. Read the guides and tools and watch the videos on these webpages to assist you in arranging and analysing your materials.
