Hello
Students
In case you haven’t noticed, the talk of Academic Integrity is everywhere. It’s in the classroom, school newsletters, on Moodle and Facebook. And yes, you should complete the Academic Integrity Module before submitting your first assignment!
To reinforce the importance of Academic Integrity, the Library is launching the Academic Integrity Week and running a series of Academic Integrity Workshops.

What is Academic Integrity
Academic integrity is a set of values and practices that teachers, students, researchers and all members of the academic community act with: honesty, trust, fairness, respect and responsibility (TEQSA). It means approaching your studies, research and professional life in an ethical way, having the courage to make the right decisions and displaying integrity.
It means applying these values in your own work, and when you engage with the work and contributions of others.

What is the Academic Integrity Module
The Academic Integrity Module (AIM) introduces the basics of ethical academic practice and values and expectations of correct academic conduct. AIM will help you:
• Understand what it means to work with Academic Integrity
• Develop skills and understanding of the rules and customs that form the basis of academic work
• Avoid cheating, plagiarism and other dishonest activities that can lead to failure or expulsion

To understand the importance and implications of Academic Integrity and the ramifications of not having Academic Integrity in your work and study, join an Academic Integrity Workshop.
The Academic Integrity Workshop will cover topics ranging from
Plagiarism
Collusion
contract cheating
research integrity
copyright

The workshops will discuss the dos and don’ts of Academic Integrity, the penalties of the breach of Academic Integrity and prevention of misconduct leading to the breach of Academic Integrity.
Book your session now by emailing library@imc.edu.au
Happy study!
