Dear students,
With border restrictions lifted and overseas students now able to travel to Australia for study, the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) has announced that education providers are expected to return to full compliance with the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Framework by 30 June 2023.
Under the ESOS Framework, providers must ensure that all international students on an Australian student visa can:
● complete two-thirds of their course not by distance or online learning; and
● study at least one unit that is not by online or distance learning in each study period, with the exception of the last unit of their course.
All overseas students should plan to join us on Campus before the start of Term 2, 2023. Please note this does not apply to any NA (non-award) students.
Through Term 1, 2023, we will maintain support for students who are still unable to join us in-person and help to ensure that they have time to make any required adjustments to their living and working arrangements in preparation for Term 2, 2023.
More information on the return to compliance can be found on TEQSA’s FAQs page and FAQ’s can be found on our ESOS National Code Information for Overseas Students and Staff page.
